ATHENA is looking for her forever home. Her foster mom said, “she is honestly one of the most loving dogs I have ever met. So loyal and just loves to be loved on”. She is absolutely adorable and has the cutest black mask. She is around 45lbs, crate trained, and fully house trained. She does well with other dogs and is very playful. She loves sticks and playing fetch! Mrs. Athena is hearing impaired but is very smart and has learned how to communicate with her foster just fine. We can show you how to use her vibration collar to get her attention. Her foster mom said that it can be positive because at night she wakes up for nothing and sleeps like a log. She hasn’t been around small children, but we feel that she would do just fine. She is in a home now with a 12yr old and makes a special trip to her room every morning to greet her and play. She also seems to be non-reactive to cats. There are 2 outdoor cats at her foster home, and she walks right past them on the porch and doesn’t react.

It is hard to imagine that this sweet girl was days away from being euthanized before we took her into the rescue. She deserves her happy ending! Please let us know if you would like to meet Athena and we will get something set up.
