GRANNY Bella is rescue royalty! She has been treated like a princess ever since we got her. This senior girl was abandoned at a kill shelter by her former owner, then due to being heartworm positive, was not able to transport up north with the original rescue that had pulled her. We stepped in to take care of her, and we have completely fallen in love with this petite dynamo! As we affectionately call her, GRANNY is a senior, but nothing slows her down. She has spunk and energy but loves to spend most of her day cozied up on her bed, enjoying affection and snuggling. She is not a huge fan of other dogs. Only a home with a very submissive, similarly calm dog would work for her. She does fine in a crate with other dogs around her but seems to get very defensive if out loose with them. She would be an excellent option for an older couple or someone looking for an extremely low-maintenance dog. She is heartworm positive but is not showing any signs or symptoms, and we currently have her on the slow kill method. We have a Medical Sponsor for Granny for her lifetime, so a foster or adopt her would never be out any money on any medical expenses for her.
